Marihu Contreras


Marihu is an Associate in BMAJ’s Dispute Resolution practice area.


Her experience focuses on investment and international commercial arbitration.

She has been involved in multiple arbitration proceedings under international investment treaties, transnational contracts and contracts involving States or state entities, across a range of sectors including oil and gas, renewable energy, petrochemical, construction, real estate and customs services.

Between 2018 and 2021, she worked as an Assistant Legal Counsel at the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA), providing support to tribunals in international arbitrations. Additionally, she has experience in international trade disputes before the World Trade Organization (WTO), where she worked as an intern at the Appellate Body Secretariat.
